I'm Avinash Barik, a Senior Content Developer based in Bengaluru, India, with 5+ years of experience across enterprise IT, B2B SaaS and technology media.

I take complex systems and business processes and make them easy to understand – whether the reader is a developer, a business user or an AI agent. Today I document how enterprise applications such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Boomi, Zuora, RevPro, Coupa and Workday work together across end-to-end process streams like Quote-to-Cash and Order-to-Cash.

What I do

  • Process and system documentation – end-to-end process flows, integration overviews, roles, handoffs and system landscapes
  • SOPs and user guides – step-by-step procedures that business users can follow on their own
  • API documentation – REST endpoints, authentication, JSON/XML examples and error handling
  • Release notes and knowledge base articles – clear, customer-facing updates and help content
  • AI documentation – structuring knowledge bases and training AI agents so they give accurate, source-based answers
  • Docs-as-code – Markdown, MkDocs, Git and GitHub, with automated publishing

How I work

  1. Understand the audience – who reads this, and what do they need to get done?
  2. Learn from the experts – interview SMEs, developers and business owners, and test the system myself
  3. Structure first – plan information architecture, templates and naming before writing
  4. Write clearly – plain language, task-based steps and visuals where they help
  5. Review and maintain – technical reviews, version control and regular updates so content stays accurate

Experience

Senior Content Developer – Nutanix

Jun 2025 – present · Bengaluru (hybrid)

  • Documented 7 end-to-end process streams – Campaign-to-Order (hardware and software), Quote-to-Cash, Order-to-Cash, Sales Order Management, Order Fulfilment, Hire-to-Retire and Issue-to-Resolution – each in its own Confluence repository covering the process, applications and integrations
  • Documented 9 enterprise applications end to end: Salesforce, NetSuite, Boomi, Zuora, RevPro, Coupa, Workday, Kinaxis and Kantata
  • Documented Salesforce–NetSuite integration logic: customer and account updates, exchange rates, credit evaluation and delivery orders
  • Organised application and stream pages, including the QA and Streams sections, into a structured, searchable process and knowledge hub
  • Configured and trained a Glean AI agent on the documentation set, so the Business Applications team gets source-based answers on Salesforce, NetSuite, Boomi and business workflows
  • Wrote release notes and QA content (bug lifecycle, regression and API testing, test management), and created Lucidchart flows of systems, steps and handoffs
  • Work with the PMO team on presentations and support Quarterly Business Review (QBR) presentations
  • Gather business requirements from SMEs and track work in Jira and Confluence

  • Wrote feature documentation, release notes and knowledge base articles for insurance SaaS products – for example, the February 2024 release notes
  • Created user manuals, quick-start guides, video tutorials and in-app walkthroughs, and redesigned the onboarding journey for CRM users
  • Improved chatbot and in-app help content with usage instructions and troubleshooting guidance
